Exact Sciences replaces CFO, vice-president of finance, treasurer

Tampa, Fla., April 13 - Exact Sciences Corp. announced Thursday the appointment of Jeffrey R. Luber, currently general counsel and secretary, to chief financial officer and treasurer.

The company also announced the appointment of Chuck Carelli, currently the controller of Exact Sciences since November 2004, to the position of vice president of finance.

Luber and Carelli replace Harry Wilcox, currently senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer since September 2004, according to a news release.

Wilcox will be part-time senior vice president of corporate development, focusing on strategic corporate issues

Previously, he served as managing partner of Beacon BioPartners, LLC and interim chief executive officer of Biostratum, Inc.

Exact Sciences, based in Marlborough, Mass., uses applied genomics to develop effective, patient-friendly screening technologies for use in the detection of cancer.
