Knoxville, Tenn., June 12 - Exact Sciences Corp. settled an $8.2 million private placement of stock on June 11, according to an 8-K filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company sold 4,315,792 shares at $1.90 apiece.

Exact Sciences, based in Marlborough, Mass., develops screening technologies for cancer detection.
