BMO plans 6.3% contingent interest buffered notes tied to Stoxx 50

By Susanna Moon

Chicago, Sept. 12 – Bank of Montreal plans to price buffered notes with contingent interest payments due Sept. 30, 2021 linked to the Euro Stoxx 50 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will pay a contingent monthly coupon at an annual of 6.3% if the index closes at or above its 90% threshold on the observation date for that month.

The payout at maturity will be par plus the final coupon unless the index falls by more than 10%, in which case investors will be exposed to any losses beyond the buffer.

BMO Capital Markets Corp. is the agent.

The notes will price on Sept. 25.

The Cusip number is 06367WBP7.
