HSBC plans three-year dual direction barrier notes on EAFE fund, Stoxx

Chicago, July 12 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% dual directional barrier securities due Aug. 3, 2021 linked to the lesser performing of the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF and the Euro Stoxx 50 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If each index finishes at or above its initial level, the payout at maturity will be par plus 2 times the gain of the worse performing index.

If either index falls by up to its 75% barrier level, the payout at maturity will be par.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline of the worse performing index.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price on July 31 and settle on Aug. 3.

The Cusip number is 40435FP68.
