New Issue: GS Finance prices $4.3 million trigger autocallables linked to Euro Stoxx, Russell

By Angela McDaniels

Tacoma, Wash., Oct. 10 – GS Finance Corp. priced $4.3 million of trigger autocallable contingent yield notes due Oct. 8, 2027 linked to the lesser performing of the Euro Stoxx 50 index and the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

Each quarter, the notes will pay a contingent coupon at the rate of 7% per year if each index closes at or above its coupon barrier, 70% of its initial level, on the observation date for that quarter.

Beginning in October 2018, the notes will be automatically called at par of $10 if each index closes at or above its initial level on any quarterly observation date.

If the notes are not called and the lesser-performing index finishes at or above its downside threshold, 50% of its initial level, the payout at maturity will be par plus the final coupon, if applicable. Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for every 1% that the lesser-performing index’s final level is less than its initial level.
