S&P: Alkermes loans BB, B

Standard & Poor's said it assigned a preliminary B+ corporate credit rating to Alkermes Inc., along with a preliminary BB rating and preliminary 1 recovery rating to the first-lien term loan due 2017 and a preliminary B issue-level and a preliminary 5 recovery rating to the second-lien term loan due 2018.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings reflect its weak business risk profile exhibited by the uncertainty associated with a transformational acquisition, product concentration and dependence on relatively unproven product uses to drive expected growth, S&P said.
