S&P changes Estonia view

S&P said it revised Estonia’s outlook to positive on its strong economic growth and external performance.

The AA-/A-1+ ratings were affirmed.

“Strong domestic demand and exports over the past few years have resulted in Estonia's GDP per capita increasing to above $24,000, a growth trend we expect to moderate during our forecast through 2023,” the agency said in a news release.

“Estonia's external performance remains strong, with resilient net services exports outweighing goods and primary income deficits. We are therefore revising our outlook on Estonia to positive from stable and affirming the AA-/A-1+ sovereign credit ratings.”
