Alion Science upsizes note offer to $250 million, tightens talk to 10¼%-10 3/8% from 10½% area

St. Louis, Jan. 25 - Alion Science and Technology Corp. has upsized to $250 million from $200 million its offering of eight-year senior notes (CCC+), an informed source told Prospect News on Thursday.

Meanwhile the company revised price talk to 10¼% to 10 3/8% from the 10½% area.

Pricing is expected on Friday.

Credit Suisse has the books for the Rule 144A with registration rights offering.

The notes come with four years of call protection.

Proceeds will be used to repay the company's bridge loan and a portion of its senior term loan.

Alion is a McLean, Va., technology solutions provider delivering technical expertise and operational support to the Department of Defense.
