Fitch changes Eskom’s national outlook

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd.'s long-term local-currency issuer default rating at B.

The outlook is stable.

Fitch said it also revised the outlook on Eskom's national long-term rating to stable from negative, reflecting Eskom's positioning compared with other rated South African issuers.

The agency said the affirmation reflects Eskom's continuing strong links with the government, but also its weak ccc- standalone credit profile, liquidity position and access to local capital markets.
