Eschelon Telecom starts roadshow for $85 million proceeds discount notes

By Paul A. Harris

St. Louis, Feb. 25 - Eschelon Telecom started a roadshow Wednesday for $100 million of six-year senior notes (CCC+), a market source said.

The notes are expected to be discounted to 85, and hence are expected to generate $85 million of proceeds. Pricing is expected to take place on March 8.

Jefferies & Co. and Wachovia Securities are the underwriters.

The notes will come with three years of call protection.

Proceeds will be used to repay bank debt.

The Minneapolis-based company provides voice, data and internet services to small and medium sized businesses in the Western United States.
