Fitch changes Hungarian banks to positive

Fitch Ratings said it revised the outlooks on Hungarian Export Import Bank, MFB Hungarian Development Bank plc, Erste Bank Hungary Zrt. and Kereskedelmi es Hitelbank Zrt to positive from stable.

The long-term issuer default ratings of Hungarian Export Import Bank and MFB were affirmed at BBB- and of Erste Bank and Kereskedelmi at BBB.

Fitch said the action follows the Nov. 10 revision of the outlook on the Hungarian sovereign to positive.

Erste Bank’s and Kereskedelmi’s viability ratings were unaffected by these actions.
