Aliant Telecom to redeem 11 1/8% debentures

New York, June 19 - Aliant Telecom Inc. announced the redemption of its 11 1/8% series AA debentures due July 19, 2013.

The company will redeem the securities at 101% plus accrued interest to July 19, the redemption date.

Based in Saint John, N.B., Aliant provides communications services.
