Two EQ portfolios add Jayakumar to management team, drop Kirby

San Diego, Jan. 23 - EQ Advisors Trust announced in a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it has appointed Mahesh Jayakumar as a portfolio manager of the EQ/Core Bond Index Portfolio and the EQ/Intermediate Government Bond Index Portfolio.
Jayakumar joins Michael Brunell in managing the portion of the portfolio allotted to Boston-based SSgA Funds Management, Inc., the funds' investment adviser.
John Kirby is no longer a portfolio manager of the funds.
