Elliott acquires 1.1 million additional shares of Epicor

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 25 - A group of Epicor Software Corp. investors led by Elliott Associates, LP bought 1.1 million shares of the company's stock on Sept. 24 at an approximate per-share price of $8.20, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In August, Elliott, then with a 9.9% interest, urged Epicor to begin a process to sell the company, a prior SEC filing said.

Elliott and its affiliates beneficially own about 7.65 million shares, or 12.5%, of Epicor.

The Irvine, Calif.-based company designs, develops, markets and supports enterprise application software products.
