Moody's: EP Energy notes B2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a B2 rating to EP Energy LLC and Everest Acquisition Finance Inc.'s $300 million of senior unsecured notes due 2022.

The Ba3 corporate family rating and Ba3 senior secured debt rating remain unchanged.

The outlook is stable.

"With investment grade scale and single B leverage metrics, EP Energy's rating naturally falls somewhere in between," Moody's senior credit officer Stuart Miller said in a news release.

"The Ba3 corporate family rating reflects our expectation that the company's leverage will remain high as it will likely borrow to fund a portion of its capital expenditures over the next few years," Miller added in the release.
