Univision sells Entravision shares to Thomas Weisel

Tacoma, Wash., March 30 - Entravision Communications Corp. investor Univision Communications Inc. sold 6.3 million shares of class U stock to Thomas Weisel Partners LLC on Thursday, according to a schedule 13D/A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The purchase price was $0.35 per share, or $2.21 million in total.

The shares automatically converted into class A stock on a 1 to 1 basis when they were sold.

Univision beneficially owns 9,352,729 shares of Entravision's class U stock. These shares, on an as-converted basis, represent 15.19% of the company's class A common stock.

Entravision and Univision are Spanish-language media companies based in Santa Monica, Calif., and New York, respectively.
