Entravision Communications $200 million seven-year notes roadshow starts Tuesday

By Paul A. Harris

St. Louis, Mo., Feb. 27 - Entravision Communications Corp. begins a roadshow Tuesday for a $200 million offering of senior subordinated notes due 2009, according to a syndicate source.

Pricing on Entravision Communications' new notes is expected around March 12, according to the syndicate source.

UBS Warburg will run the books on the Rule 144A deal, the source said, adding that Credit Suisse First Boston, Merrill Lynch & Co., Fleet Securities, Scotia Capital and BNY Capital Markets, Inc. are co-managers.

The notes are non-callable for four years. The company will use the proceeds to repay existing debt.

Entravision Communications is media company serving a mainly Hispanic audience with 38 television stations located primarily in the southwestern U.S, according to information filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It also owns and/or operates 56 radio stations located primarily in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas, and approximately 11,200 billboards in Los Angeles.

According to a press release, Entravision announced Feb. 12 that it had entered into an agreement to acquire KXPK-FM in Denver, Colo., from Emmis Communications Corp., for approximately $47.5 million in cash. The acquisition is expected to close in early May 2002.
