Alger China-U.S. Growth Fund drops sub-adviser Martin Currie

San Diego, Oct. 3 - Alger China-U.S. Growth Fund announced that Martin Currie, Inc. will no longer be the fund's sub-investment adviser.

Fred Alger Management, Inc. will remain the investment manager, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Dan C. Chung, chief executive officer and chief investment officer at Fred Alger Management, will remain a portfolio manager.

Deborah Velez Medenica, senior vice president, has been added as portfolio manager. Prior to joining Fred Alger Management in 2010, Medenica worked at American International Group, most recently as a portfolio manager, managing director and head of emerging market equities.

James Chong will no longer be product manager.

The fund concentrates its investments in securities of companies economically tied to either China or the United States. Fred Alger Management is based in Boston.
