EnerSys files automatic shelf registration

Philadelphia, May 19 - EnerSys filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers debt securities, preferred stock and common stock. The securities may be structured as convertibles.

Use of proceeds will be detailed in future filings, the company said. EnerSys will not receive proceeds from common stock sold by selling shareholders.

EnerSys is a Reading, Pa., manufacturer, marketer and distributor of industrial batteries.
