By Devika Patel

Knoxville, Tenn., Oct. 30 - EnerSys filed a debt securities and common stock automatic shelf registration in an S-3ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The debt securities may be structured as convertibles.

Use of proceeds from the securities will be detailed in the prospectus supplement. The company will not receive proceeds from the stock sales, since the filing covers common shares already owned by EnerSys stockholders that are being sold by the holders, not the company.
