New Issue: RBC sells $5.28 million buffered enhanced return notes on ETF basket

Chicago, May 13 – Royal Bank of Canada priced $5.28 million of buffered enhanced return notes due Nov. 12, 2020 linked to a basket of three exchange-traded funds, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket consists of the Energy Select Sector SPDR f und with a 40% weight, the Industrial Select Sector SPDR fund with a 40% weight and the Technology Select Sector SPDR fund with a 20% weight.

If the basket return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 150% of the basket gain, subject to a maximum payment of par plus 12.6%. Investors will receive par if the basket falls by up to 15% and lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 15%.
