Portland, Ore., Jan. 31 - Energy Partners Ltd. began a roadshow on Monday for a $210 million offering of seven-year senior notes, according to an informed source.

The roadshow wraps up on Feb. 9.

Jefferies & Co. is the left bookrunner for the Rule 144A and Regulation S with registration rights offering. BMO Nesbitt Burns is the joint bookrunner.

Capital One Southcoast, Natixis Bleichroeder and Scotia Capital are the co-managers.

The notes come with four years of call protection.

Credit ratings remain to be determined.

Proceeds will be used to acquire some shallow-water Gulf of Mexico shelf oil and natural gas interests.

The prospective issuer is an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company based in New Orleans and Houston.
