Carlson Capital buys more shares of Energy Partners

Charlotte, N.C., Jan. 25 - Carlson Capital, LP and its affiliates upped their stake in Energy Partners, Ltd. to 7.9% from 6.7% with the purchase of an additional 383,300 shares of the company's stock.

The shares were bought between Dec. 4 and Jan. 23 priced from $10.65 to $12.64, according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The investors beneficially own 2,506,268 shares of the New Orleans-based independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company.

On Dec. 3, Carlson Capital reported the purchase of 1,198,768 shares of Energy Partners between Oct. 2 and Nov. 30 priced from $12.34 to $15.18 each.
