S&P: Encore unaffected

Standard & Poor's said Encore Acquisition Co.'s (BB-/stable) ratings and outlook would not immediately change following the company's announcement that it is pursuing strategic alternatives.

The effect of the sale of the company on ratings would depend on the credit profile of the acquirer and on the funding of the acquisition, the agency noted.
