S&P boosts Iansa

Standard & Poor's said it upgraded the rating on Empresas Iansa SA to B- from CCC+.

The outlook is positive.

The action reflects the improvements in the company's financial flexibility and operating performance during the past two quarters, as well as its successful equity increase concluded in March 2010, S&P said.

The ratings also reflect its commodity-type business and its dependence on Chilean sugar beet production and its exposure to refinancing risk in 2012, the agency said.
