S&P: Empresas view negative

Standard & Poor's said it revised the outlook on Empresas CMPC SA to negative and affirmed the ratings at BBB+.

"The outlook revision reflects our opinion that the company's financial risk profile may deteriorate because of its inability to improve results and cash flows, as debt levels are currently high for its rating category," S&P credit analyst Diego Ocampo said in a news release.

"We believe an increase in the investment flows in the next three years would put even more pressure on the company's financial performance if it doesn't address funding adequately," Ocampo added in the release.
