S&P gives Inversiones CMPC notes BBB

S&P said it assigned a BBB issue rating to Inversiones CMPC SA's planned $500 million of senior unsecured sustainability-linked notes with a 10-year maturity. Inversiones is a wholly owned financing vehicle subsidiary of Empresas CMPC SA (CMPC).

“The rating on the notes is the same as the issuer credit rating on CMPC, based on the unconditional and irrevocable guarantee for the notes' payment,” S&P said in a statement.

CMPC will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes and to fund, in whole or in part, expenditures and investments in several green projects during the next two years.

The outlook is stable.
