Empresa Electrica de Guatemala plans to issue $100 million 10-year notes next week

New York, Dec. 8 - Empresa Electrica de Guatemala (EEGSA), through a Cayman Islands trust, plans to issue $100 million 10-year senior unsecured notes (Ba2/BB-) next week, according to a market source.

Comercializadora Electrica de Guatemala will guarantee the notes.

Citigroup is running the Rule 144A/Regulation S issue.

EESGA, based in Guatemala City, is a partially privatized energy company.
