Moody's rates Empresa Electrica notes Ba2
Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Ba2 rating to Empresa Electrica de Guatemala SA's $100 million senior unsecured notes.
Moody's also assigned a Ba2 senior implied rating and a Ba3 issuer rating. The outlook is stable. Comercializadora Electrica de Guatemala SA will provide a guaranty for Empresa Electrica's obligations.
The rating reflects Moody's opinion of the company's unsupported ability to meet senior unsecured obligations.
