Fitch: EEB outlook stable

Fitch Ratings said it revised Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA ESP's outlook to stable from negative and affirmed its national scale rating at AA(col) and its foreign- and local-currency issuer default ratings at BB. The rating action applies to $610 million of outstanding senior notes due 2014.

The agency said EEB's ratings reflect the company's diversified portfolio of assets with low business risk and stable and predictable cash flow generation.

They also reflect the company's moderate leverage and strong liquidity as well as the potential need for third-party financing to fund capital expenditures, Fitch said. For the last 12 months ended Sept. 30, the ratio of total consolidated debt to EBITDA plus dividends received was 3.3 times.
