Capitol Records to call 8 3/8% guaranteed notes due 2009

Knoxville, Tenn., Aug. 21 - Capitol Records, Inc. announced it intends to redeem all $500 million of its outstanding 8 3/8% guaranteed notes due 2009 on or around Sept. 17.

Los Angeles-based Capitol Records, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EMI Group plc, is one of the leading recording labels in the U.S., with a talent roster that includes such pop artists as the Beastie Boys, Coldplay, Faith Evans, Shelby Lynne and the Shout Out Louds.
