Morgan Stanley Emerging Markets Portfolio lowers expense cap

San Diego, March 2 - The board of directors of Morgan Stanley Institutional Fund, Inc. has approved a decrease in the expense cap of class I and class P shares of the Emerging Markets Portfolio, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Effective March 1, the management fee will decrease to 0.65% from 1.19% for both share classes. Other expenses and the fee waiver amount have also changed, resulting in total annual portfolio operating expenses of 0.9% for class I and 1.15% for class P shares. The previous annual operating expenses were 1.25% and 1.5%, respectively.

New York-based Morgan Stanley Investment Management Inc. serves as the fund's investment adviser.
