Financial Investors Trust launches two new Emerald funds

San Diego, March 15 - Financial Investors Trust announced it has launched the Emerald Banking and Finance Fund and the Emerald Growth Fund, according to an N-1A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Both funds will offer class A, class C, institutional class and investor class shares. For the Banking and Finance Fund, the ticker symbols are HSSAX, HSSCX, HSSIX and FFBFX, respectively. For the Growth Fund, the ticker symbols are HSPGX, HSPCX, FGROX and FFGRX, respectively.

The Banking and Finance Fund seeks long-term growth through capital appreciation with income as a secondary objective. It will normally invest at least 80% of its assets in stocks of companies principally engaged in the banking or financial services industries, with an emphasis on small or medium market capitalization companies.

Kenneth G. Mertz II and Steven E. Russell are the portfolio managers.

Shareholder fees will consist of a maximum sales charge of 4.75% for class A shares and a 1% maximum deferred sales charge for class C shares.

Management fees are 1%. The total annual fund operating expenses after a fee waiver will be 1.84% for class A shares, 2.49% for class C shares, 1.54% for institutional class shares and 1.89% for investor class shares.

The Emerald Growth Fund seeks long-term growth through capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, it will invest in equity securities, including common stocks, preferred stocks and securities convertible into common or preferred stocks.

Kenneth G. Mertz II, Stacey L. Sears and Joseph W. Garner are the portfolio managers.

Shareholder fees will consist of a maximum sales charge of 4.75% for class A shares and a 1% maximum deferred sales charge for class C shares.

Management fees are 0.75%. The total annual fund operating expenses after a fee waiver will be 1.29% for class A shares, 1.94% for class C shares, 0.99% for institutional class shares and 1.34% for investor class shares.

Leola, Pa.-based Emerald Mutual Fund Advisers Trust will serve as the investment adviser to the funds.
