Embratel $200 million five-year notes seen pricing in 11% area

St. Louis, Nov. 20 - Price guidance of 11% area was heard Thursday on Empresa Brasileira de Telecommunicacaoes SA (Embratel)'s sale of $200 million five-year guaranteed notes, according to an informed source.

Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank Securities are joint bookrunners on the Rule 144A/Regulation S (with registration rights) offering.

Embratel will use proceeds to refinance debt and for general corporate purposes.

The company is a Rio de Janeiro-based telecommunications provider.
