S&P affirms Embraer

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed its BBB- long-term corporate credit rating on Embraer-Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica SA.

The outlook is stable.

"The ratings reflect Embraer's satisfactory business profile and intermediate financial profile," said S&P credit analyst Reginaldo Takara.

The company has a favorable position in the global commercial aircraft market, an adequate product portfolio and backlog, favorable research and development productivity in its industry segment and strong liquidity, the agency said.
