Alere to start roadshow Tuesday for $350 million eight-year notes

St. Louis, Sept. 13 - Alere Inc. will kick off a brief roadshow on Tuesday for its $350 million offering of eight-year senior subordinated notes (expected ratings B3/B-), according to an informed source.

The roadshow wraps up on Wednesday.

The Rule 144A with registration rights offering is expected to price on Thursday.

Jefferies & Co., Goldman Sachs & Co. and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. are the joint bookrunners.

BMO Nesbitt Burns, and Leerink Swann are the co-managers.

The notes come with four years of call protection.

Proceeds will be used for working capital and for general corporate purposes.

Alere is a Waltham, Mass.-based medical products and services company.
