Tacoma, Wash., Aug. 1 - Eksportfinans ASA priced $23.63 million of 0% leveraged buffered index-linked notes due Aug. 13, 2012 linked to the MSCI EAFE index via Goldman Sachs & Co., according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 1.5 times the index return, subject to a maximum return of 13.2%. Investors will receive par if the index declines by 10% or less and will lose 1.1111% for every 1% that it declines beyond 10%.
The initial index level set by the issuer, 1,681.76, is lower than the actual closing level of the index on the pricing date, which was 1,684.27.
