New Issue: Wachovia sells $4.81 million absolute return range notes on MSCI EAFE for Eksportfinans

Chicago, July 1 - Eksportfinans ASA priced $4.81 million of 0% absolute return range notes due Jan. 15, 2010 linked to the iShares MSCI EAFE index fund via agent Wachovia Capital Markets, LLC, according to a 424B3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the index fund remains within its upper and lower barriers during the life of the notes, the payout at maturity will be par plus the absolute value of any index change. The upper barrier is 119.5% of the initial price, and the lower barrier is 80.5% of the initial value.
If the index fund closes outside of the barriers at any time, investors will receive par.
