Goldman Sachs to price 0% notes linked to Topix for Eksportfinans

Seattle, April 2 - Goldman, Sachs & Co. plans to price an offering of 0% enhanced participation notes due 2009 linked to the Topix index for issuer Eksportfinans ASA, according to a 424B3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the final index level is greater than or equal to the index cap, the payout at maturity will be par plus the maximum return. The index cap is expected to be 110% to 111.5% of the initial index level, and the maximum return is expected to be 40% to 46%. Both will be determined at pricing.

If the final index level is greater than or equal to the initial index level but less than the index cap, the payout will be par plus quadruple the percentage increase in the index level.

If the final index level is less than the initial index level, investors will be fully exposed to the decline.
