Egypt plans to sell dollar-denominated notes in three tranches

By Rebecca Melvin

New York, Nov. 12 – The Arab Republic of Egypt has selected banks to manage a potential U.S. dollar-denominated benchmark offering of four-year, long 12-year and 40-year senior notes, according to a syndicate source.

BNP Paribas, Citigroup, JPMorgan, Natixis and Standard Chartered Bank are joint bookrunners for the potential Regulation S and Rule 144A transaction.

An offering of notes was expected to be priced soon, subject to market conditions and following a global investor call on Tuesday.
