Atlanta, June 23 – Colombia’s Ecopetrol SA sold $1.5 billion of 5 3/8% notes due 2026 at 99.328 to yield 5.457%, or Treasuries plus 305 basis points, according to a company filing.
The notes were talked at a spread in the 320 bps area.
Credit Suisse and HSBC were the bookrunners for the Securities and Exchange Commission-registered deal.
The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
The notes have a make-whole call at Treasuries plus 45 basis points until three months before maturity and after that are callable at par.
Ecopetrol is a Bogota, Colombia-based petroleum company.
