Colombia's Ecopetrol announces COP 3 trillion debt issuance program

Madison, Wis., Aug. 6 - Ecopetrol SA said Colombia's Superintendency of Finance authorized it to register an up to COP 3 trillion domestic debt securities and commercial paper program.

Ecopetrol has three years to complete a public offering under the debt program, according to a 6-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The petroleum company is based in Bogota, Colombia.
