Moody’s assigns Baa3 to Ecopetrol notes

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned a Baa3 rating to Ecopetrol SA’s planned global notes for up to $2 billion.

The company's Baa3 ratings remain unchanged, the agency said.

Ecopetrol will use the proceeds for its investment plan or other expenditures, including refinancing debt.

The outlook is negative.
