Moody's assigns Baa3 to Ecopetrol notes

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa3 rating to Ecopetrol SA's expected global notes for up to $2 billion.

The company's Baa3 ratings are unchanged, the agency said.

The notes will be used to refinance debt and for general corporate purposes.

The outlook is negative.
