EchoStar $700 million senior notes talked at 9%-9¼%

St. Louis, Mo., Dec. 18 - Price talk of 9%-9¼% emerged Tuesday on EchoStar DBS Corp.'s $700 million offering of senior notes due 2008 (B1/(B+ existing), according to a market source.

The deal is expected to price late Wednesday or early Thursday, according to the source.

The Rule 144A notes are non-callable for four years.

Bookrunners are Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown and Credit Suisse First Boston, with joint leads Lehman Brothers and UBS Warburg.
