Moody's ups 7-Eleven outlook to positive

Moody's Investors Service said it changed 7-Eleven, Inc.'s outlook to positive from stable.

The company's Baa3 long-term issuer rating and Prime 1 commercial paper ratings were affirmed, the agency noted.

"The change in outlook to positive reflects 7-Eleven's improved operating performance despite the macroeconomic environment, which we feel is due to continued focus on providing value, convenience, and predictable quality throughout its product assortment," stated Moody's senior analyst Charlie O'Shea.

"With the expanded focus on fresh and ready-to-eat food, as well as the significant store remodeling program, the agency said it feel this positive trend is likely to continue."
