Eaton Vance U.S. Government Money Market Fund offered by exchange only
By Toni Weeks
San Diego, Nov. 30 - Eaton Vance U.S. Government Money Market Fund's class A, class B and class C shares will be offered only in exchange for class A, class B and class C shares, respectively, of other Eaton Vance funds beginning Jan. 1, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Previously, class A shares were also available through purchases.
The filing also said that the fund may suspend the sale of its shares at any time, and any exchange order may be refused for any reason.
Concerning the distribution fees paid by the fund to the principal underwriter and financial intermediaries for the sale and distribution of class B and class C shares, the fund may now suspend those fees in order to maintain a yield of at least zero.
The funds' investment adviser is Boston-based Boston Management and Research.
