Alcatel Lucent exercises clean-up call on Oceanes due 2018

New York, Feb. 19 – Alcatel Lucent said it will exercise the clean-up call to redeem its Oceanes due 2018 on March 21.

Holders will receive €1.80 per Oceane plus accrued interest to the redemption date.

The call is exercisable because less than 15% of the original amount of the securities remains outstanding.

Holders can convert the Oceanes into stock until March 10.

The conversion ratio is temporarily adjusted to 1.26 shares of Alcatel Lucent stock per Oceane through Feb. 24. After that date the ratio will be 1.06 shares.

Paris-based Alcatel-Lucent is a voice, data and video communication services provider. Espoo, Finland-based Nokia Corp., a wireless telecommunications equipment maker, acquired control of the company.
