Alcatel-Lucent USA begins one-month tender for $300 million 6¾% notes

Chicago, July 31 – Alcatel-Lucent said wholly owned subsidiary Alcatel-Lucent USA Inc. began a tender offer for up to $300 million of its outstanding $1 billion 6¾% senior notes due 2020.

The purchase price will be $1,080 per $1,000 principal amount plus accrued interest to but excluding the settlement date of Sept. 4.

Holders may tender their notes until 11:59 p.m. ET on Sept. 1.

The dealer managers are Citigroup Global Markets Ltd. (+44 20 7986 8969 or liabilitymanagement.europe@citi.com) and Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Ltd. (+44 20 7883 8763 or liability.management@credit-suisse.com).

The tender agent is Citibank NA (+44 20 7508 3867 or exchange.gats@citi.com).

The tender offer is part of the company’s liability management strategy, aimed at reducing gross debt and cash interest charges and optimizing its capital structure given its level of available cash, according to a company press release.

Paris-based Alcatel-Lucent is a voice, data and video communication services provider.
