Alcatel-Lucent greenshoe ups 0%, 0.125% convertibles by €104.5 million

Norfolk, Va., June 5 – Underwriters for Alcatel-Lucent’s 0% convertible notes due Jan. 30, 2019 and 0.125% convertibles due Jan. 30, 2020 exercised their over-allotment options in full, adding an additional €104.5 million of ntoes, according to a press release.

The company priced €625.8 million of the 2019 convertibles on June 2. The greenshoe added €62.6 million, bringing the total sale to about €688.43 million.

Also on June 2, Alcatel-Lucent priced €418.4 million of the 2020 convertibles. The greenshoe added €41.9 million, bringing the total sale to roughly €460.3 million.

As previously reported, joint bookrunners on the Regulation S deal were Credit Agricole CIB, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, BofA Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Citigroup Global Markets and Natixis.

Proceeds are earmarked for partial or full reimbursement of the company’s senior secured credit facility. If proceeds are insufficient to repay the entire facility, the remainder may be repaid with cash or by raising additional financing in the capital markets.

Paris-based Alcatel-Lucent is a voice, data and video communication services provider.
